Homemade Grapefruit Sorbet
3 cups fresh grapefruit juice
3/4 cup sugar
1 tsp. grapefruit zest
1. Combine and cook 1/2 cup grapefruit juice, zest and sugar in a saucepan over medium heat until sugar dissolves, stirring often.
2. Add the mixture with the remaining 2 1/2 cups grapefruit juice and zest in a bowl then cover and refrigerate.
3. Once chilled, add mixture into the freezer can of an ice-cream maker, and freeze according to the instructions of the machine. Transfer sorbet to a freezer-safe container; cover and freeze until firm. Yields 6 servings.
